MELBOURNE POSITION:

FOOTWEAR ACCOUNT MANAGER AND CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGER: MUST UNDERSTAND TECHNICAL ASPECTS OF FOOTWEAR

The account service and admin support position provides a link between Customers and the China office. It is an important role in the sales team. A knowledge of fashion and footwear is vital.

FOOTWEAR INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL
Responsibilities:

  • Attending meetings with customers and communicating notes with the China team
  • Supporting the sales team in Melbourne office
  • Building a good communication and relationship with buyers
  • Email and Skype meetings with the China office
  • Keeping up to date with customer orders and styles from season to season
  • Researching fashion trends for different customer requirements
  • Producing fashion mood boards for presentation and ranging
  • Looking at overseas fashion trends and reporting to sales team
  • Demonstrating products and services to existing and potential customers and assisting them in selecting those best suited to their brand
  • Retail store visits observing customer’s stores and competitors
  • Preparing reports for buyers of their shoes at retail
  • Organizing and keeping track of samples from China to customers vice versa
  • Notifying customers of samples and swatches sent to their office
  • Assist with checking and sending of samples to customers
  • Assist with general office duties when required
  • Reading and presenting weekly sales reports from customers within the team
  • Creating range books for customers and company

Requirements:

  • Excellent sales skills
  • Establishing good rapport with customers
  • An understanding of footwear production and technology
  • Good organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to understand product and quality
  • Ability to work well in a small team environment
  • Visiting customers’ retail stores and establishing rapport within the team members
  • Strong time management skills
  • Monday-Friday (9am-5pm with exceptions as required)

Other Skills/Abilities:

  • Good communication skills
  • Strong skills across the Microsoft Office products
  • Strong interest in fashion trends
  • Be flexible in a small office and family business environment
  • Self-motivated

CAR REQUIRED AND EXPENSES REIMBURSED

$80,000 per annum + Superannuation

Our client designs, manufactures and sells UPMARKET FASHION FAUX (fake)FURS to Europe, ASIA and the USA and is seeking a GENERAL ADMINISTRATION CANDIDATE accomplished in Multi Tasking, General Administration, Import/Export, and interest in Supply Chain and has an Eye For Detail. These products are designed in Australia and are manufactured in Asia and shipped world wide. They feature often in the international magazines such as VOGUE etc.

Responsible for the general admin, import/export, supply chain and eye for details and great people skills.

Work under pressure, liaising with all departments, in-house, manufacturers in China and the Clients internationally. Having an interest in Supply Chain and who works efficiently and can learn all Shipping regulations for most countries.

Men's Wear Product Developer/Garment Technician/Illustrator and Graphic Design Expert

We are seeking a Men's-wear Product Developer/Technician with expertise using Illustrator, liaising with manufacturers in China. This position is in Men's Wear and requires a candidate with all round knowledge.

You must have Graphic Design skills - logos, embroideries, yardages and sublimation etc.

Working closely with Buyers. Product is basic Men's Wear, comprising Cut n Sew predominately. T-Shirts, Polo's, Sportswear and Fleece.

You will be working closely with the clients and offshore supply base. The successful candidate will be experienced and have a can do attitude. You will have the opportunity to build individual customer portfolios and will gain satisfaction through successful product/business outcomes. A keen eye for detail and passion for product development and sourcing are key.

Involvement in client meetings and day to day client interactions with the ability to lead.

Price negotiation with multiple partner factories ensuring the supplier is suitable for the product/customer and pricing requirements.

Process customer orders to factories, including the development of accessories and garment details.

Approve garments including fabrics, colours and accessories (in collaboration with the team).

Design commercial product suitable for individual customer ranges. Creation of garment Cads incorporating graphic elements, colours and fabric designs, utilising Adobe Illustrator.

Create size specifications including garment points of measure diagrams.

Maintain an extensive library of fabric qualities, accessories and colours.

Interstate travel for client meetings.

Overseas travel for factory meetings.

Opportunity for occasional international travel for trend research / sample buying.

Experience:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Fashion Apparel Company.
Experience in an apparel product development / import company structure highly desirable.

Skills and Strengths:

  • Negotiation with both customers and suppliers.
  • Costing with offshore factories (knowledge of materials and cost parameters, particularly China).
  • Customer service focused team player.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proactive and hands on, problem solver.
  • Strong commercial acumen; you are business savvy and able to think “big picture”.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks across functions and prioritise workload accordingly.

Software Skills:

PC experience.
Adobe Illustrator / Creative Suite: Advanced Level
Excel / MS Office :Advanced Level
